Next time it rains, take note of the deepest part. After it dries out again, loosen the 3-4 screws next to that deepest part a couple of turns. Beneath the channel put something thin that won't rot or rust like a nickel or whatever you have around to hold the channel off the concrete a little bit.

Re-tighten the screws. Bugs still cannot get in and it takes maybe 5-10 minutes and costs a nickel.
Experiment with the draining using your garden hose.
