Standard lots are any lot that does not have a lot premium. For example... a standard lot is smaller with a "kissing lanai". A lot at the end of a cul-de-sac is larger and will have a lot premium when purchasing a new home.

I read about standard lots being smaller in the south right here on TOTV.
