Default Party Beans

Looking for that one-pot dish to take to a party? This simple bean/meat recipe is always a hit. Makes a great tailgate meal as well and it can be made right in a disposable tin to take to the party. Enjoy - Russ

Bean recipe:

Ingredients:

1 lb hamburger
½ lb bacon (or black pastrami) cut into bite size
1 medium onion chopped small
1 large can of prepared beans, 1lb 12 oz.(Bushes, B&M etc. any variety) DO NOT DRAIN juice
1 large can , 1lb (or two small) of white beans (Pastene or Goya for example) DRAIN juice
1 large can , 1lb (or two small) of red kidney beans (Pastene or Goya for example) DRAIN juice
1 tsp of dry mustard
½ cup of ketchup
2 tsp of vinegar
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar

Preparation:

Cook hamburger (chop up as you cook) discard grease.
Cook bacon and remove then cook onion in bacon grease, do not discard the grease after removing onions (unless there is a still a ton, it should have cooked into the onions). If using pastrami you'll need a little added oil instead of the bacon grease.

In large disposable tin or oven proof pot place all ingredients and mix well.

Cover with foil or pot cover and cook at 375 for at least an hour.
