Had a buddy come over after work with a broken brake pad. Had him pick up a set of pads on his way over. Got the lug nuts and the outer wheel off then 3 out of the ten spindles just spun..  Ended up having to torch them off. Then he had to run back out for new studs and spindles. I think I'll get him NOTHING but his own impact wrench for Christmas..

I can NOTHING but smell the smells of doing a job like that. I know all the lingo, I know all the parts, I know some of the Part Numbers. I remember part Numbers from Copy Machines I sold 30 years ago. I feel like that guy who wanted to go to K-Mart to buy underwear? I've been accused of being a Card Counter at The Venetian in Vegas. I have a lot of stuff in this aging head.
You know something K-Man, the job you helped your buddy do yesterday will come back to you many times over in a good way. It probably already has come to you as a reward in other ways already. When you get here you may miss the things you did today and remember the smell of burning parts off a truck but I'll bet the Ponderosa you'll get over it quickly!
