I do not claim to be any kind of expert but as the bathroom is wet
and you are often shoe less stuff like proper grounding and ground fault interrupters are important and there are codes for that.

In our bathroom we have recessed fixtures in the shower and in the main part of the bathroom. I've changed out almost all the bulbs in our home to LEDs except the one in the shower. All the other builder installed bulbs were regular 65w tungsten bulbs.
Not sure why as they are slightly more expensive, the ones in the two showers are the regular thread in floods but they are the florescent type.
