FL law requires that a golf cart operated on a public street should not impede the flow of regular auto traffic. (In other words stay in the golf cart lane) If you pull out into the auto lane on a public street in a golf cart to pass another cart and slow the flow of traffic by autos you can be ticketed. This is not the case on the trails in TV but on the streets. If I pass another cart on a street and leave the golf cart lane it is very seldom. I never exceed 20 miles per hour on any public street. The total fine and court cost is close to $500. If a policeman or deputy is around you can be ticketed.
