I have seen on the News that N.J. is the last in speech attractiveness and New England was 2nd. Pip, Pip Cheerios and All That Sorta Rot. It also said that Newark International Airport was rated next to last in many categories that are important to travelers. |
I thought it was Long Island that had the least sexy accent and not for NOTHING. One of the Orlando news anchors I follow on Facebook had a little thing about that today.
I have always been a sucker for the southern accent even if some women I know could put out just about any accent so that seems quite different from someone who grew up there.
My sister-in-law is from Northern VA and can drop that accent whenever she wants. And she does not have any of the racist views that you sometimes encounter in some people who grew up in the South. Only some though. Some northerners can be just as racist.
