I don't like tofu at all. But I also understand that tofu isn't some newfangled fad. Consumption of tofu dates back around 2000 years and is a common ingredient in foods in China and other countries on the other side of the world.

I also understand that a lot of the rest of the world does not rely quite as heavily on meat as most Americans, and appreciate plant-based foods much more than we do. In general.

I'm not a vegetarian. I like steak, and burgers, and especially bacon. But I also like salads, and hummus, and other foods that are common in other parts of the world that aren't meat-based.

Might try opening your minds, those of you who make fun of non-meat foods. Or put your fear aside. Being afraid to try new things at your age is pretty silly. You have a lot less to lose, afterall.
