The problem with the real bright lights are that the lights are hooked up to 16 volts rather than 12 volts, Some of the people who rebuild carts save money rather than buying a voltage reducer they hook the lights up to 2-- 8 volt batteries and thus you get real bright lights and less bulb life also, that's most of the cause of the bright lights on golf carts. This affects the brake lights and turn signals also.
