Some recent statistics of houses damaged by lightning would suggest your chances of a damaging lightning strike is about 1 in 60,000 in any given year.

But even here in central Florida, the chances of lightning striking of your house is pretty low and if it does happen insurance will cover most of the cost of repair. And even when lightning strikes a home it may do little or no damage.
