Vote fraud has been around forever. It's just that the 24-hour news cycle can report on it more accurately these days. And with the presidential election being so bitterly contested, examples make for attractive news stories. It's certainly not right, but I'd guess it's no worse than it's been in elections for the last 100 years.

Heck, I come from a home town--Chicago--where the instructions to the electorate as election days approach is always "vote early and vote often".
