Actually, we typically find that playing golf on hot days as this week, is not TOO bad in TV.
First, we've noticed that (most times) there's a little breeze on the courses - possibly due to the open areas and rolling hills etc.
Second, of course stay hydrated. And one of those 'cool towels' around the neck is nice.
Third, don't spend TOO much time in the sun - park cart in the shade and sit down between shots. We have fans in the cart which helps a bit.
Fourth, try to limit extended time in the hot sun - my objective is to get hole-in-ones on the par 3s, and eagles on the 4s. sure...
The only recent time we found golf quite uncomfortable was when we tried out the Marshfield Pitch n' Putt. Have to use pull cart or carry clubs, not many shade trees or benches, no Ambassador with water etc, and it's located 'down south' much closer to the Equator.
