I need to share a refreshing change for The VIllages. For anyone looking for a welcoming group to play mahjongg come on down to the Fenney Recreation Center. My husband and I have lived in The Villages almost seven years. We are closing on our home in Linden on August 6 and I thought I would try playing mahjongg in what will be my new neighborhood. It was great to find a group of women who are welcoming and friendly. It was first come and sit down at an available empty seat and play mahjongg. No need to worry about tables where you ask if they need an additional player. You're told they're waiting for a friend. Games are formed as people arrive. Hallelujah and hooray. I guess Fenney is what is referred to as "Florida's friendliest hometown".
