Thank God that First Responders know that is NOT the case! If a Fire Dept. rig get dispatched on a 2nd. or 3rd. alarm etc. they know they are still First Responders. If an ambulance crew calls for an ALS unit it will show up with 1st. responders on it. If an evidence tech shows up at a crime 15 minutes after it happens he/she is still a first responder.

Let's NOT over think this! ..... And " it's shorter and fits better on a sign" is NO reason to name anything! IMHO
