I just can't imagine hiring a 78yo "handyman", and letting him climb a ladder in my house. Hire a professional and spend the extra money to get the job done right. Either that, or spend the money on a lawyer when the old fool sues you, cause he fell off the ladder, and can't enjoy the pleasure of his wife's company.
