That item about CDD7 incorporating as a municipality caught my eye too. I just tracked it back via the CDD website. Apparently, by law, when a CDD reaches 5,000 residents they have to put a referendum on the ballot to give them the option to incorporate. CDD7 is Duval, Hadley, Hemingway, etc. To retain the current form of CDD government used throughout the Villages, the correct vote here would be a NO.

I tried to paste a link in here to CDD7 website but it wouldn't work properly, kept circling back to TOTV. To find the document, go to www.districtgov.org .... on right column, is place to choose a district for "Meeeting Minutes/Agenda"....choose district 7; From District 7 homepage, click on link for Sept 19 2008 agenda, all the way at the bottom is a hot link "A" for the letter from CDD to Supervisor of Elections.
