Bucco, what is your point about delayng the World Series? If someone buys a 30-minute slot to be aired at a certain time, the program that follows would either be delayed, start in the middle or cancelled. Well, you certainly can't cancel the World Series, so I'd say delaying it rather than missing the opening pitch, etc. is the best solution. I really don't see this as a political issue.
