I used to volunteer with the same rescue that this young lady and her mom volunteered at. So this isn't some random person (at least not to me.)
Meg is a college student whose mother passed away early this year from cancer. They were best friends. Now Meg has no mom to ask for money or to turn to for support. She is a college student, so you know she doesn't have much money. Her dachshund, Frankie, became paralyzed and needs back surgery. If you can afford it, please consider making a small donation so her dog can have surgery. I actually think Frankie was her mom's dog, so I'm sure he is very special to her.
