Self employed my whole life - you left out marketing, sales, health insurance, transportation, travel time, vacations and down time between bookings.
It was always fun to listen to all the "employees" at companies I contracted with complaining about how much more than them I was "making" doing the same work. They had vacations, if I didn't work, I didn't get paid. If I got sick, I didn't get paid, and on and on.
I loved working for myself, but the $200/hr billing rate does not equal take home or disposable income.
