Storms make me wonder about human nature. If people are concerned enough to run out and stock up on water and batteries, etc. a few days before a storm, why not just keep those things on hand? Buy emergency supplies or a generator when people aren't rampaging in the stores! It's not as if hurricane season is a surprise. Jeepers.
Keeping one's vehicle at least half full of gas isn't that burdensome, either.
