With "high ground" being at most 10'-15' above normal sea level for the majority of the islands and 20' surges possible, plus the fact that there are projections that Dorian could stall for up to two days there (with 125+mph winds)...I can't even fathom the fear and stress those residents are going through right now.

My heart goes out to all of those on the islands (particularly the northwest Bahamas) and I have a really bad feeling...that this will be a huge catastrophic tragedy for them.

I really, really, hope... my gut is completely wrong.

I also hope that we do the right thing...and are quick to get there and help.
