Sounds like a specialty installation to get the aftermarket system the OP is asking about installed correctly. The manufacturer of the device should be able to guide you.

Even though the plan was to buy and keep this car forever I will have to re-evaluate in about another two years and one of the reasons it may have to go is the vision to the rear.
