I grew up one mile from Tropicana Field, graduated St. Pete High class of '68. It's nice that a small market team can go so far. Growing up I was an Orioles fan, which also spends little money, I've always been a fan of the underdog. It's amazing how the Rays can do well with even less money. Oakland had 54,000 at that game, too bad they have such a lousy stadium and the Raiders are moving to Vegas.

I love it when the Yankees and Red Sox don't make the playoffs, and when they do, I become a National League fan. I was hoping for the Cubs as my NL team. We'll have to wait and see who represents this year. Houston is a really good team, it's going to be tough for the Rays. I also love the Tampa Bay Lightning and they play tonight, season starts for them.
