Great intro and welcome. We also spent a good amount of time in SoCal and never looked back. Yeah Florida has its bugs, hurricanes and humidity but playing golf or going on a walk in shorts in January seems to offset it all.

We sold one of our companies back in 2007 and even though we were residents of Florida we got smacked with a huge Cali tax hit. Hopefully you have a better tax plan then we did.

Are you planning to road trip here in the RV? My wife and I have done that road trip many of times and have tons of pointers as far as weather, side trips etc. We store our big Coach here locally but use it now to travel between our homes in the Keys and the Ozarks.
