We had sliders, but replaced them with a roll up screen. We found the draw backs to the sliders are: They do not seal as well as a roll up door. The roll up doors are a bit more secure. You can leave it down when you are gone and help keep the garage cool. A thief could still break in, but they are at least having to cut the screen. If the sliders are closed and you come home in the rain, someone is getting wet! One drawback, based on the type of power screen garage door, if the power goes out and the the door is down, your car/golf cart is trapped in the garage. It comes down to personal preference.
