A number of years ago the back roof of our home up north came down after 3 large wet snow storms within a couple weeks. Fortunately it wasn't over a living area. The insurance company took great care of us and gave us a check for almost TWICE the cost to fix it. They sent out their own adjuster who came up with the price (we didn't even hire a public adjuster). They were quite generous.
