If someone actually tried to do that, after laughing their a$$ off, the insurance company likely wouldn't have a clue as to what to do with the returned unused money. It would probably go towards a Christmas party for the CEO.
I once tried to return something to Macy's that they shipped me 2 of and after 5 phone calls and 2hrs of my time I just gave up and kept it. They actually wanted ME to pay to send it back.
