The NON ethanol gas, obviously doesnt contain ethanol and will produce slightly more energy when ignited (burned). Not enough for you to notice.
E85 gas is a blend of 85% gasoline and 15% ethanol.

Actually the reverse is true. E85 is 85% ethanol
