Automotive work many times requires raising a vehicle, which is very difficult to do at an owners house. You do not state what type of work you need done, so this is a difficult question to answer. Also, I would my hesitant to even change oil, it is very difficult on a sloped driveway, and drips are hard to control. I have done my own, but I take extra precautions to make sure the car and myself are safe, and the driveway stays clean.
