Default YOUR HSSPCA's "Spay-ghetti No Balls" Dinner is Back By Popular Demand!

Tired of cooking but want a delicious Italian meal? And help a local charity?

Thanks to a community-wide show of support, YOUR Humane Society SPCA’s "Spay-ghetti No Balls" Dinner will return on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Wildwood Community Center from 4:30-7PM. 200 meals will be available for dine-in or take-out for only $10 each and pre-sales are strongly encouraged as walk-ins will be $15 per person.

The tasty menu of a spaghetti dinner, with the option of a meat sauce (remember...no balls!) or plain red sauce, salad, bread and dessert will be offered for only $10 per person. Soda, water, coffee and a beer/wine cash bar will be available. Francesco’s Ristorante, 3’s Catering Company and Donna’s Dream Cakes are generously donating the delicious food. Local talent Brian Gillie with his Roots of Rock N’ Roll show will provide free entertainment from 6-7pm. Chance drawings for a 50/50 and to win $100 in Florida Scratch-off lottery tickets (sponsored by Just Dandy Pet Parlour) will also be available for a $5 each and the winners will be drawn after his show. Participants are not required to be present to win.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit "The Big Fix", the no-kill shelter’s low cost sliding scale spay/neuter voucher program which helps the dogs and cats of qualifying Sumter County residents while reducing both pet homelessness and pet over-population within Sumter County. Robin Gump, agent/owner of Mid-Florida Agencies/Florida Blue Medicare and one of the supporting sponsors of the dinner said, “I wanted to help fund the shelter’s necessary S/N program but bring it back bigger and better. It is so great to see wonderful local businesses who cared all come aboard in a huge show of support because they love animals as much as I do.” Supporters of the program can also simply make a tax-deductible donation directly at Donate – Your Humane Society SPCA and earmark it to “The Big Fix” if they cannot attend the dinner as it costs YOUR Humane Society SPCA approximately $100/pet for each voucher. 624 spay/neuter vouchers were redeemed in 2019 and can only continue with public support.
