Generally computers that are donated/given away these days are so old that most places won't take them as the work to "clean them up" isn't worth the time. The only way to find out would be to call them. Maybe they have a "computer repair" class who could tear it down as a learning experience. I would have to assume it is pretty old and/or not functioning. Make sure you remove your old data. I would take a drill right through the hard drive if it is one of those antique mechanical drives
or just take it out and keep it. Even if erased your data can be recovered relatively easy unless you use a DOD secure erase application.
