Yes it's sad he was killed, but as the CEO he would not have been involved in getting a part I believe.
So I doubt that played into it.
New homes being built is likely where their focus is not repairs.
FedEx is overnight if needed, not days, they cheeped out.
shipping ground allowed them to make more money on the repair,
Bottom line they dropped the ball, overall they have a good reputation.
But they for sure don't maintain spare parts inventory
