Marion County
Greetings,
Looking to buy a CYV when we visit this month. Finding wonderful homes in Marion County but the taxes!!! School taxes alone based on taxable value is over 1300 dollars. Then there is fine and forfeiture tax, general county, enforcement, medical service, ad valorem, non-ad valorem assessments....all this rolls up to over $3500. Similar homes in Sumter county are half this for like value homes. Do all counties pay the same taxing authorities? Just seems so lopsided between counties.
