Poster stated "my cost was $500.00". My guess would be he had it replaced and the Insurance Co. paid all but his deductible. Plenty of folks are having 20 year old
20 year roofs replaced and claiming wind damage necessitated it. Roofing companies don't care who pays...... as long as somebody pays.
