Default Coronavirus—Watching out for our own

There have been several threads on this issue, but it occurred to me that we may feel better/more calm if we have some proactive things to do for not only ourselves, but our neighbors. I know we have Neighborhood Watch driving around, but here are some things we should be doing on our own street. These should be not only during the COVID19 scare, but all the time.

Please add things as you think of them.

Pay attention to what’s going on in your neighborhood/ on your street!

- [ ] Check on your elderly/frail neighbors. Have you seen them lately? Are newspapers piling up in their driveway? Have they put out the trash lately? Do they need help taking out the trash?

- [ ] Do your neighbors need groceries? Medical supplies? Prescriptions?

- [ ] Do your neighbors have pet(s)? Have you seen them lately? Do they need walking

- [ ] Do you know who has your neighbor’s house key?

- [ ] Do you know a local contact that knows your neighbor well?

- [ ] Do you know your neighbor’s emergency contact? Have they updated it with The Villages?

- [ ] Give your contact information to your neighbor “just in case”, especially if they are living alone.
