This is happening here in Texas as well with our grocery stores (both local and Walmarts)….as I understand it, it is so they can do a HEAVY restock and decontamination of the store so that they don't run out of what their customers need AND ensure they are not making matter worse not being able to do a deep clean. I personally believe this is to benefit their clients....glad to hear our new home (as of May) is on the same page...ensure it is cleaned very well, stocked totally, and then let the crazies in to "swarm like locus again." Their intent is NOT to cut hours for workers.
