Good luck getting "any" person who was "in contact" with the patient to get tested.
1. There aren't enough tests to do that.
2. Testing is reserved for people who have symptoms, plus the super wealthy, the "well-connected," and celebrities apparently.
3. If that person went to the town square one night two weeks ago and was there for an hour, he probably exposed many hundreds of people to the virus, each of whom have further exposed people to it by way of contact at stores, supermarkets, their own family, friends and neighbors, etc. One person can have contact with thousands of people in a week's time and this person wasn't diagnosed until after he showed symptoms. That means he was probably infected - and contagious - for at LEAST a week before that.
