After reading the article, I'm really in a quandry. As I look around my office I see:

1. A Mark Twain quote hanging on the wall (I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him)
2. A Pope John XXIII quote handing on the wall (See everything, Overlook a great deal, Correct a little)
3. A Confucius quote handing on the wall (Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure)
4. Two Immigration Law Handbooks (2007 & 2008)
5. A mousepad with a dragon sitting on a motorcycle
6. Two coffee cups (one actually is clean)
7. An old "Pearls Before Swine" cartoon tacked onto the phone, with Rat quoting a revised nursery rhyme (Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, eating her curds and whey. Along came a spider who sat down beside her, and frightenend Miss Muffet away. Then Muffet went back and checked her gun rack, grabbing a .357. Finding the spider, she sat down beside her, and blew that poor sucker to heaven - the uncut version)
8. An old "Bizarro" cartoon tacked over the phone, showing a teacher talking to 4th graders (Everyone get out a clean piece of paper and your Homeland-Security-Alert-Level-Orange crayon & draw a terrorist hiding somewhere in your house)
9. Selected non-lethal weaponry in various stages of readiness.
10. The top of the desk is fairly clutter-free, but inside the drawers is a fire marshall's nightmare!

I guess that makes me a somewhat liberal Independent with latent conservative tendencies......
