It's sad that so few people know about this day, considering how much the veterans were shunned and ignored when they came home. My husband was spit on in the Seattle airport when he came home. It was started by proclamation by President Obama in 2012 and was further established as a day of national observance by The Vietnam Veterans Recognition Act of 2017.

I agree with you but suspect folks are a bit more engrossed in COVID-19. Hopefully, next year will be better.
