1. Keep your hands clean. If you touch something outside your home or something in your home that’s been outside, clean your hands.
2. Don’t touch your face. He believes 99% of transmission is from contaminated hands to face contact.
3. You don’t need a medical mask as the risk of acquiring the virus through the air is slim. See #2. He does recommend using a mask as a learning tool since people wearing masks touch their face less.
4. Practice social distancing. Don’t touch anyone.
Even working with these patients all day, he believes he will not acquire the illness because of the points above.
