So unless you had a job to supplement your income that you lost BECAUSE of the epidemic, your situation is unchanged. Therefore, why should you get any check? There are millions of workers supporting their families who suffered a major loss of income, that where the funds should be directed. This is not a Christmas gift, and should not go to anyone whose financial situation did not change. It should not go to non-US citizens or those on public assistance either, unless we want to subsidize the cigarette/beer/lottery ticket industries.
