Gov. Sisolak refused to reverse his order even after the FDA issued an emergency order earlier this week approving the drug for use against COVID 19.
Have you read the FDA's emergency order? What it said was very specific. And it is exactly in agreement with this Governor's directive. But you didn't know that I'm sure.

For those who don't click on links: The FDA authorized release from the Federal Stockpile of Hydroxychloroquine [Plaquenil] only for treatment of hospitalized patients of 110 pounds or more.

"This EUA is for the unapproved use of hydroxychloroquine sulfate supplied from the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) to treat adults and adolescents who weigh 50 kg or more and are hospitalized with COVID-19 for whom a clinical trial is not available, or participation is not feasible. "

Nothing at all there about approving the drug for Covid. It specifically says UNAPPROVED. And it says in hospital only. Gosh, exactly what the Governor ordered.
