I have had Comcast for 4 years, and my service has been very consistent and dependable. There are two things that I think cause people to dislike the company. One is that they operate on a 2 year contract which usually includes a $50 per month discount that automatically disappears when the contract expires. So, people who don't know the expiration date assume that Comcast has arbitrarily increased their prices. The second thing is that people often try to handle complicated issues on a phone call. It is much better to go online and make an appointment to visit their store on Rt 441 near Best Buy. This especially works if you meet with them a month or so before your contract expires, so you can set up a new contract before the discount on your current contract is eliminated. If you think their equipment is defective, you can always go to the store and exchange it.
