I'm also a Garrison Keillor fan. No, he isn't being facetious or anything other than expressing his honest feelings. And I too feel the same hopefulness. However, unlike BTK and probably some others, I won't be judging Obama on how many of his campaign promises he is able to keep. If McCain had been elected, I wouldn't have judged him that way either. Our country is in such a mess right now that all bets are off. A little spark of hope feels good even though realistically it probably won't last.
