All of the above responses are correct but the most important thing is to drive around and look at the various neighborhoods and what amenities are near by that are of interest to you. South of route 44 the new homes AR less expensive then older homes and the area is quite beautiful with all the big old oak trees covered in Moss. That whole area has many beautiful walking biking trails if walking and biking is something you're interested in. It's a more quiet area but in five years it will be just as built up as other sections of the villages. Two of my friends have moved south of 44 and I just bought a house down there now myself as I wanted waterfront and couldn't afford it north of route 44. Go look at the new village of de Luna as it has gorgeous old trees and walking trails in the bridge to Brownwood is going to be put up there very soon. You can also go from deluna on a new road that connects you right to route 301 which is very handy. Good luck and your search but definitely come down and at least drive through different areas but preferably rent to try out an area first.
