We "experienced" that for the first time today at Publix Colony. I can say we and many others
unknowingly didn't follow them for a while because there was no notice posted, didn't hear any announcements or see any signs in the store. After our third aisle going the wrong way along with lots of others we noticed the thin little blue tape arrows on the floor after someone politely advised us. Generally we don't pay attention to the floor when we shop and they used very narrow blue tape so it wasn't very obvious as we weren't thinking about the floor but only getting my Spaghetti O's (out of stock of course). It's a great idea but they need some "standing up" signs to advise shoppers and then I think many more would have heeded them. Walmart is supposed to be doing it as well but as of yesterday was not and the same for Aldi per the news reports.
