Essential businesses are not closed which includes small mom and pop grocers, pharmacies, hardware stores, restaurants (carryout or delivery), etc.
Maybe think back to the polio epidemic where similar restrictions took place and thousands of hospital wards filled with floors of children and adults in iron lungs. And if you survived, the horrible treatments, years of physical therapy and possible paralysis. Many people ended up in hospitals for years under quarantine and many spent the rest of their lives in institutions.
I think a few months of closures and social isolation is well worth the contribution to the greater good of our society as a whole. These types of sacrifices were put in place in the past as well.
