You are correct. I was not clear on my response. If the house was wired with CAT-5 for the phones, this can be converted to an Ethernet connection, with a router in the garage, new connectors and cover plates. The wireless phones eliminate the need for using the CAT-5 wiring. We just went with wireless for everything by relocating the modem to the center of the house. This provide very good WiFi coverage, and if I really need full speed (over 100 meg) for something, I can plug in an Ethernet cable to my PC.
