I dread to think about what it would be like for a crew to run out of soap and deodorant as well as toilet paper on a submarine! I hope your sub had plenty such necessary items stored onboard.

I remember during a river cruise from Moscow to St. Petersburg touring an old USSR Foxtrot class decommissioned submarine turned into a museum located at the edge of Lake Vytegra which we crossed. The sailors slept on bunks among the torpedoes. I only saw one toilet although there may have been others. I bought a souvenir mug which has "Podvodnaya Lodkae B-440 (in Russian) on it.
