Default Unless the rules have changed you can PLAY after 4 p.m. WITHOUT a tee time

Since we are all still paying our amenity fees and trail fees and golf has been accepted as an approved activity, why close early. The cost to The Villages has already been paid. This limited time is not only a problem with people wanting to play after 4 PM , but ripples through the entire system to deny us promised amenities.
I am generally supportive of The Villages (a great place) but this rule seems faulty. Perhaps The Villages is limited to what the state will allow.
I have played after the final tee time many a time, till dark. Did they make it illegal if you are a Villagers resident to play golf after the starter shack is closed? For years I played after the "closing" because there was no one to slow me down. Even if I only got in 5 or 7 holes before it got dark. Did it change?
